They’re finally here- rear badge inserts that match your paint! We’ve been hard at work over the past year tweaking our formulas to get them to match factory colors as precisely as possible. We’ve brought every color car we have a match for into the Klii studio for chip matching and lighting testing, and are pretty excited to offer what we’ve come up with!
The front badge insert set comes as a 5-piece collection to fill in each void of the front VW badge. The tolerances are super tight meaning a full color fill. We construct our inlays using absolute top-shelf vinyl, on which we print the coloration with UV-resistant inks featuring specially formulated blacks and finely-tuned crisp resolution. We then take things to another level by using a secondary layer of gloss 3M automotive laminate, meaning that not only is the pattern fully protected from abrasives and color degradation, but it has a glossy simulated clear-coat surface finish with unprecedented depth. The latest iteration of our Klii Motorwerkes decal is included with every order.
*Note – Klii inlays match up incredibly well to factory paint finishes, but it should be noted that it is impossible to 100% replicate a deep clear-coated automotive paint with printed vinyl. You can expect a matched insert that looks absolutely spot on when separated from the paint by an emblem boundary, but if you decide to stick it on your hood (why would you stick it on your hood?) you can probably tell a difference inside 5 feet. That being said, we’ve had many claim that our work matches better than the painted solutions offered by others. Pretty cool!
